Howard Bell

Today, in addition to On Purpose, Howard serves as chair for FairforYou (a UK social enterprise organisation) and for three UK digital scale-ups and also advises, as Operating Partner venture CEOs in the US & Europe. He has advised and mentored over 60 companies. Howard’s operational career involved scaling and accelerating growth for a number of social impact and digital brands , leading both as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO). He was a co-founder of PayPal Europe to become an international brand, as CPO at Content Technologies to a global category leadership position in 2001, CCO at JustGiving - revitalised to help 10,000 charities raise £400m donations pa and CCO at FutureLearn (from start-up to 5m users in 110+ countries). Previously Howard led transformation strategies as general manager at larger blue-chip organisations - Dow Jones and Barclaycard and in his early career, worked as a management consultant for Gemini Consulting (subsequently CGEY). Howard is happily married to Stephanie and has two spirited daughters.
