Sarah Walton-Smith

Sarah is an expert, creative, global communications consultant with a passion for health, wellbeing and education. Sarah has depth and breadth of knowledge in marketing, communications, brand engagement and talent management.

Sarah holds a Masters’ degree in Medical Anthropology from SOAS University of London (the School of Oriental and African Studies), and has worked extensively in global health PR, communications and marketing with experience both as an in-house expert and as a consultant for private corporations, agencies and NGOs.

As an entrepreneur, Sarah established her own successful healthcare advertising agency, DWS Advertising, from 1991 to 2001, building it into an advertising agency with an enviable reputation, both for its creative work and clients including Colgate Palmolive and GSK. After selling the business, and as a consultant, Sarah joined world food company, Danone, to pioneer and develop the healthcare marketing and professional relations for the global brand Activia, as well as developing her coaching and mentoring skills. Through broad exposure to the business and corporate world, she has developed a deep understanding and insight into the culture, working practices and expectations of global companies.

An articulate and outgoing communicator and negotiator, Sarah possesses strong listening and influencing skills. More recently as Global Head of Marketing, she has developed and mentored global teams, gaining buy-in at all levels of the organisation from fresh graduates to senior leadership.
