On-Purpose

Jo Alexander

Jo is a Geologist who has spent 11 years working within BP where she led assessments of the petroleum potential of basins, from Azerbaijan to Australia to the Atlantic Ocean; she also enjoyed her experiences on oil rigs, 'in the field' and interacting with BP's Exploration community across the globe. However, this role was at odds with her passion for the planet, our need to reduce carbon emissions and the impacts of climate change. Jo's ambition is to become an advocate for sustainability within the energy sector and help lead this transformation. Jo has a 1st class degree in Earth Sciences from Oxford University and has recently became Chartered through the Geological Society of London.
