APP has recently agreed a new strategy to create Justice Changemakers by delivering legal education and legal services both to those in prison and to prison officers. The focus of the 2020 strategy is to develop a law college and a law firm. The intern?s primary role will be to supporting the general director and COO in making these objectives a reality. The primary deliverable will be towards scoping document, with a larger team, for either the law firm or the law college alongside supporting the senior team in developing impact reporting and in their interactions with major donors. Scoping: Research and development relating to establishment of a law firm and legal college. Co-ordinating and working with the various working groups relating to strategy implementation. Consideration of the strategic requirements, timescales, funding Establishing cases for support and business plans for prospective funders and commissioners. Impact: Development and implementation of a balanced scorecard Development of monitoring and evaluation activities of existing programmes. Development of impact indicators relating to strategic targets. Supporting economic benefit analysis and planning. Major donor: Presentations, speeches, publicity Supporting the preparation of conference presentations; speeches and major donor events Assisting with engagement of the media and public relations. Experience of governance requirements Revising and updating strategic documents for approval Attendance at board meetings.
