Forward Institute

The Forward Institute was set up by a cross-sector group of major organisations to help the next generation of leaders address the challenges facing business and society in the 21st century. Each year, we work with these organisations to select a diverse cohort of 50 high potential leaders to join an 18-month Fellowship programme. Together, the Fellows participate in a series of intensive residential courses and field visits – as well as undertaking projects in small groups – collectively designed to broaden their perspectives, explore their values and hone their leadership. There is a particular focus on exploring the challenges and practices of responsible leadership. A non-profit organisation, the Institute is part of the wider movement towards more responsible capitalism. The development of the initiative is being supported by The Boston Consulting Group and a group of senior leaders.
