Santander UK plc is a retail and commercial bank with a focus on SME banking. It has launched a ground breaking new programme, Breakthrough, to support fast growing small and medium-sized enterprises in the UK and help them fulfil their growth ambitions, create local jobs and drive economic growth via a programme of both capital and support. A dedicated strand of Breakthrough will focus on corporate social responsibility. The January 2012 Associates work within the Santander CSR team, particularly on the Social Enterprise Develop Awards. The October 2012 Associate will develop and promote the CSR branch of the Portfolio Items Breakthrough programme, “Breakthrough Responsibly”.
