Laura Dean
Prior to joining the October 2022 On Purpose cohort, Laura worked for almost 4 years with Xynteo, an impact-focused advisory firm, working with leaders from some of the world's largest organisations. Laura has a Physics degree from the University of Bristol and spent a few years in the financial services sector before pivoting into sustainability, working as Head of Business Development for a start-up producing atmospheric water generators mainly across the Middle East. Most recently, Laura project managed Xynteo's Leadership Vanguard programme, supporting a diverse, cross-sector set of emerging c-suite leaders to develop people and planet positive business interventions in relation to big global challenges, such as regenerative cities.
Energised by collaborating with environmentally conscious and community-led enterprises, Laura was inspired to seek out a path where she feels a more tangible sense of purpose. Laura is a Member of the Board of Trustees for Mvumi School Trust in Tanzania providing hope and opportunity through education, and is currently fundraising for Supporting Wounded Veterans, having enrolled to be a "buddy" on their annual ski trip in March. Out of the office, Laura can usually be found rustling up a feast for friends, on her bike or yoga mat, or finding any excuse to explore, run up a mountain, or dive into some cold water.
