Catherine Thompson
Before joining OnPurpose, Catherine worked for a number of years in technology innovation for the FMCG industry at Unilever, most recently focusing on tech enablers for marketing, market research & advertising. Her love for technology originally blossomed from her marketing background, having previously worked within a small creative agency with clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Adnams, Abbott and Zurich Bank.
Catherine discovered her passion for Social Enterprise while gaining her degree in Management and Strategy from Aston University, where she headed up a 150-strong society that sought to drive social impact through entrepreneurial action. She has continued to contribute to the sector throughout her career, working as an advisor & mentor for social entrepreneurs and university students - as well as piloting a small tech-for-good social enterprise in Ghana through Unilever.
An advocate of the positive impact millenials have within organisations, Catherine headed up a global network of 300+ sustainability champions across Unilever, which delivered social & environmental impact through over 45 projects across the globe and led to a number of speaking engagements for Catherine on Youth Leadership & Empowerment.
