Amy Fletcher

Amy has dedicated her career to the charity sector, for causes spanning conservation to building older people's resilience and independence. She has managed business development initiatives and fundraising campaigns, including building a charity only online marketplace.

Amy developed an interest in emerging economies while studying international development, she has traveled extensively in Southern Africa and forged an opportunity to join an agricultural start-up in Zambia. With the mission of increasing small-scale farmer's access to markets with climate resistant crops, she joined as the first full-time hire and helped scale the business to work with 10,000 farmer beneficiaries, and expand production across borders. While located in Zambia Amy also consulted for a leading agribusiness impact investor.

A strong desire to apply her experience gained overseas to address broader social and environmental issues with business acumen has led her to join the On Purpose Associate Programme.

Away from work, Amy hails from the Lake District and is happiest in the great outdoors. She recently completed several long distance hikes including the Coast to Coast and trekking in the Annapurna region of Nepal. A huge foodie, she enjoys experiencing world cuisine and baking outside on an open fire!
