Anja Koenig

I work on entrepreneurship, venture philanthropy, impact finance and social innovation. I facilitate system change initiatives, innovation and blended value partnerships for impact. I enjoy helping bring new ideas to life and connect necessary resources and people to make it happen. I am inspired by the potential of entrepreneurship, innovation and capital to address tough societal challenges at scale and sustainably. I hope to make a small contribution to the much needed paradigm shift in the way we do business, take financing decisions and act as leaders in our societies! I am representative of European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) in the DACH region and lead EVPA work on system change (www.evpa.eu.com). I founded Social Impact Markets in 2012 to build the field of impact investment, to promote market led solutions for sustainable development and to co-create innovative (finance) solutions to societal challenges. (www.socialimpactmarkets.org) Now based in Berlin, Germany I worked and lived in various countries in (Eastern) Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America as well as Turkey.
