Eliza Green
Prior to joining On Purpose, Eliza trained and worked as an Advanced Clinical Orthoptist, most recently at Guy's and St. Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. She gained experience in project management and sustainability within healthcare, founding services within Ophthalmology to tackle health and social inequalities and initiatives to aid in the Net Zero Agenda. Eliza's recent roles included head of Clinical Education, where she created teaching within Carbon Literacy to tackle the NHS' large carbon footprint, which she delivered to students, colleagues and staff. In previous roles, she identified gaps in services and businesses, and created a Special Education Needs Service, to combat inequalities minority groups face in the healthcare setting.
Eliza has experience in client relationships and project management, stakeholder engagement, grant writing, service improvement and communications. She has excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and is confident working in a multi-disciplinary team, serving a diverse range of clientele, of varying ages and backgrounds.
Working with the public daily, in a large institution such as the NHS, Eliza's interest in tackling climate change and health/social inequalities, while inspiring others to do the same, has continued to grow. She is excited to have the opportunity to expand personal passions in these areas and develop experience within the social impact space to effect change on a larger scale..
Eliza studied at the University of Sheffield and has completed postgraduate study at the University of Liverpool. In her personal time she enjoys playing football, hiking and exploring interesting eateries across London.
