Katie Agar
Before joining On Purpose, Katie's background was within Product Development and Production Management in the Fashion and Homewares industries.
Over the course of four years in the industry she gained a broad knowledge of business processes, and developed key skills in costing, pricing, merchandising and production accounting. As part of the team responsible for delivering up to four collections annually, Katie managed the Critical Path for all collections from development through to delivery, always looking to improve processes and streamline business functions.
As her personal commitment to the social and environmental sectors grew, Katie pursued a career change into the impact space. Moving into the wellbeing sector, she applied her skills to Operations and Sales within an events company focused on promoting wellbeing and sustainability in the workplace. Alongside this, Katie explored her entrepreneurial side, starting up a socially-minded Mobile Bar business, stocking and supporting Buy Social, Organic and Fairtrade brands. All of these experiences furthered her drive to work within the sector, and led her to join On Purpose to explore where her skills and ambitions could be best applied to maximise her impact.
Katie holds a first class BA Honours degree in Fashion and Textile Design from the University of Southampton.
