Sophie Preuss

Before joining On Purpose Sophie worked for 3.5 years at GLG, a learning platform for investment management firms, where she managed relationships with leading private equity firms in Spain, DACH and UK. At GLG she was instrumental in building the Spain Private Equity team from scratch and managed a team of five within the Spain and Infrastructure business units. Before GLG Sophie worked at ASI for 2.5 years in international development which took her to DR Congo where she served as a Project Manager on a DFID-funded private sector development project, as well as to Nigeria where she analysed challenges faced by female entrepreneurs. Sophie holds a dual MA/MSc in International & World History from Columbia University in the City of New York and the London School of Economics as well as a BA in German and Spanish Literature from the University of Oxford. Sophie speaks German and Spanish at native level. Outside of work, Sophie does yoga, goes running and attends bootcamp classes, goes to art exhibitions, the theatre and film festivals and is an avid reader with a great interest in historical memory.
