Ellie Baker

Before joining On Purpose, Ellie spent 6 years working in wayfinding; leading research, stakeholder engagement and strategy development to support people in navigating cities, campuses and public buildings. Clients included the cities of Madrid and Seattle, Google, the National Gallery and NHS hospitals. During this period Ellie took on the role of Sustainability Officer to improve the organisation’s environmental performance and to allow her to pursue her passion for sustainability. This role included leading the environmental aspects of B Corp accreditation, measuring carbon emissions and writing company policy. In addition, Ellie has an interest in Inclusive Design and has delivered lectures on the subject to students at Reading University. Prior to this, Ellie completed an architecture internship in China and holds a degree in Architecture, post-graduate study in Design for Visual Communication and more recently has completed two IEMA courses; a Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management and a Carbon Management Course.
