Amy McJennett

Amy McJennett is the co-founder and co-author of the English Mastery programme - a programme operating nationally in 120 schools. Amy is absolutely committed to educational mobility and breaking down the barriers that prevent young people from achieving their potential. This mission has hugely influenced her career choices to date. Amy has more than a decade of experience as an English teacher, senior leader and system leader within and across Multi-Academy Trusts. She has also taught in Rambukkana, Sri Lanka. Prior to her UK schools focused work, Amy worked as an editor at The Guardian newspaper. Outside of her professional life, Amy is a mother to Isabelle and wife to Tom. She enjoys surfing, skiing and running. She also has a penchant for murder mystery novels, train journeys and fine dining (not necessarily all at the same time!).
