On Purpose

“Every cohort is passionate about social impact, and when I bump into alumni at events all over the world, they all say what a great experience the year at OnPurpose. I've run 3 Tech for Good workshops so far, by getting them to design a game for good. The process teaches them that even without any technical skills, everyone can design and be involved in tech projects, and it's a fun, experiential learning process of UX techniques.”

Eddie Capstick

Eddie first got involved in social impact projects in 2001, whilst on business in Nepal. He now combines profession role and his MSc in Human and Computer interaction (User experience : UX), and his ex-PhD research (UCL) into social computer games into a fun and dynamic workshop for not just OnPurpose but also autistic children (Action for Kids). Previously Eddie was on the global strategy board of MakeSense (30,000 volunteers around the world helping social entrepreneurs solve their challenges), and is also a judge for MIT's innovation for refugees (pan-Middle East), and a mentor for the RSA.
