Emma Kemp
Prior to joining On Purpose, Emma was a practising social worker for 16 years. She has had a varied social work career encompassing local authority practice with adults and independent practice as an expert consultant, trainer and chronic pain recovery specialist. In these roles, Emma has become deeply aware of the complex, systemic and interconnected nature of the social and environmental issues facing humanity. Emma has joined On Purpose to develop the knowledge and skills to be able to work on holistic solutions to these complex problems. Emma has a BA in English Literature (2005) and an MA in Social Work (2008), both from the University of Warwick. Emma is a published poet, singer and regularly performs improv comedy (inlcuding a stint at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024!). She tries to live as simply as possible, loves cooking tasty plant-based meals, and travelling by bicycle and on foot.
