Joshua Alade

Before joining On Purpose, Joshua founded a national youth network called Network of Youth for Sustainable Initiative - an organization advocating for meaningful youth engagement in policies and programs for youth to lead and thrive. Here, he worked on a national campaign mobilising 212,000 youth and 850 youth organisations to influence the Nigerian government to create an action plan towards providing 3.7 million jobs for youth impacted by the COVID19 pandemic. Prior to this he worked with an energy and infrastructure conglomerate with a focus on improving access to quality education, affordable energy and decent work for young people in more than 37 countries of the world.

Joshua has a masters degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Bradford and he enjoys supporting young innovators and businesses to address complex challenges affecting our world.

Joshua is married to Adenike and he is a father to Ayomi.
