Olivia Beecham

Olivia has worked in the international development sector for 7 years, spanning the public, private and voluntary sectors.

She joins On Purpose from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, having worked for the British Government for 6 years. During that time she has had a variety of roles which included policy and project management work on Global Health (particularly the international COVID-19 response), improving data in developing countries, social protection, international crises and high level events. During 2019, Olivia was based in Madrid working as a British diplomat whose job was focused on Brexit. Since 2016, Olivia has been a Trustee of Plan International UK, a global children's rights nonprofit working to advance children's rights and equality for girls all over the world. Olivia is joining On Purpose to take her passion for making a positive impact and empowering others into the domestic space. She is particularly interested in learning about the role of the private sector and purpose-driven organisations for making positive changes at scale.
