Kerynne Metherell
Kerynne is passionate about the lasting difference coaching can make in helping executives unlock their potential, and change. She has helped clients (both individuals and management teams) in both the public and private sectors on a range of issues including (among others) strategy development, career transition, preparation for new (including non-exec) roles, great performance, hiring and developing A players, dealing with difficult situations, and work-life balance. Her style is supportive, goal-oriented and predominantly non-directive, although she will draw on her experience, advising clients in a more consultative way as required. She has studied with both Management Futures and (currently) Meyler Campbell and is qualified in a range of psychometric and other tools. Kerynne has a wealth of industry and consulting experience. She began her career in marketing and corporate communications working first for Glaxo Pharmaceuticals UK (on their graduate training programme) and then The Coca-Cola Company (based in Hong Kong working across the Middle and Far East). After completing her MBA, she moved into strategy and business development, first at Mercer Management Consulting in London where she undertook strategy assignments for a range of industrial, media and telecoms clients, and then leading the Corporate Development function at AOL Europe. From 2001 to 2008 she was Deputy Head of Strategy and then Head of Business Change at Channel 4, where she focused increasingly on issues of organisational capability. Kerynne has spent the last five years with Egon Zehnder consulting to senior clients across sectors (especially not-for-profit, digital and media) on talent identification and assessment. Most recently she has done a lot of work with high growth, entrepreneurial organisations building digital capability at exec and non-exec levels. Kerynne has an MA in Geography from Oxford University and an MBA from INSEAD.
