Marie-Alix Prat
Before joining On Purpose Marie-Alix worked as an economic and finance consultant in International Development. She focused on supporting access to water and sanitation globally. She was working for major donor agencies, development banks and governments to improve the effectiveness of their spending. She gained experience in designing financing mechanisms for innovative programmes, transaction advisory and programme evaluation. For instance, most recently she was supporting an investment fund to develop and finance a PPP irrigation project that will benefit smallholder farmers in Zambia. This included conducting due diligence, modelling the farm's business model and preparing purchase agreements among other tasks. Previously, Marie-Alix worked as a management consultant for Natixis Investment Bank in France. Marie-Alix holds a Master in Management from ESCP Europe Business School in Paris and a Masters in Development Management from the London School of Economics. This is where she developed her interest in social enterprises, doing research on Inclusive Businesses in developing countries for PWC and advising Riders for Health, a social enterprise which provides transport services to health organisations in Africa, on their business model. Outside of work, Marie-Alix is passionate about education and travelling.
