Marie Curie
At Marie Curie, we believe that everyone living with any terminal illness should have access to high quality care. Through our flexible services, we deliver that care, close to home with the patient’s needs and wishes at the very centre. We currently look after 41,000 people a year, helping them and their families to make the most of the time they have left. Our Marie Curie Nursing Service provides skilled, hands on, palliative and end-of-life care at home. We also provide specialist help for patients and their families at our nine hospices, as well as free online and phone support.
We have been providing end of life services since 1948, and our expertise is grounded in innovative service redesign programmes. We know that demographic changes mean we are entering a period during which more people will need our care than ever before. We also know that more needs to be done to ensure that every person receives high quality palliative care, regardless of where they live, their condition, or their personal circumstances.
That is why our strategic plan sets out how we will reach more people living with a terminal illness. Our two associates will work as part of the Strategic Development Team in helping make this plan a reality from insight and analysis through to implementation of change.
