“Malavika is one of the rare people who manages to combine the ability to see the "big picture" but also be good at detailed operational activity.”Craig Morley MBE, Consultant to NCS
National Citizen Service
National Citizen Service (NCS) is the county's fastest growing and largest programme for 16 and 17 year olds - they meet new friends, challenge themselves in the great outdoors, learn life skills in a university, and develop their own project to make their mark on their community. NCS helps develop vital skills for life and work, fast tracking the future of those who take part. Since the first pilots in 2009, over 300,000 teenagers have taken part in the programmes that run in spring, summer and autumn. This year more than 100,000 young people will start their NCS journey. NCS exists to help tackle major social challenges in our country by empowering the next generation.
