Phelelani Mhlungu

After completing his BBusSc in Finance at the University of Cape Town, Phelelani began his professional career as an analyst at emerging markets investment bank Renaissance Capital, in Johannesburg. He has since worked in a variety of roles in investment banks and start ups operating across sub-Saharan Africa. He is particularly interested in working with organisations in the early growth and start-up phases and has developed expertise in business development, research and analysis. He aims to use these skills to create proactive, community-oriented responses to the complex challenges of our time. Outside of work, Phelelani enjoys learning about history, new languages and sports.
