Save the Children works in 120 countries. We save children’s lives. We fight for their rights. We help them fulfil their potential. In the world’s poorest places, nearly 7 million children die needlessly every year. That’s why we’re striving to make sure every child gets the food they need to grow up strong and healthy. We’re also helping thousands of children fight killer illnesses like pneumonia and diarrhoea. And we’re getting others off the streets, out of dangerous work and back into school.
When disaster strikes, we do whatever it takes to save children’s lives – whether that disaster makes the headlines or not. And we keep them safe from violence and abuse, and reunite them with their families when war and disaster has torn them apart.
We’re also working hard to transform young lives closer to home, giving children in the most deprived areas of the UK a better start in life. Poverty in the UK may look different, but it still causes real suffering. That’s why we’re providing the essentials every child needs: a proper bed, hot meals and better support at home. With your help, we can help even more children wake up to a bright future.
