Impact is important to us at On Purpose, and we’re always thrilled to hear how our community is bringing about positive change. This week we shine a light on Martin Cosarinsky Campos, October 2016 Fellow.

I learned a lot from my On Purpose experience through 2016/17, so much that I took the same ingredients of work experience, training, and mentoring/coaching to design programmes supporting refugees into work!

Breadwinners is a grassroots charity and social enterprise that supports refugees into work. We sell artisan organic bread and pastries in farmers' markets, cafes and restaurants, and support young refugees with work, one-to-one coaching, training and development opportunities.

I went into it straight after finishing On Purpose, being a 1 man band for the first year, and as of now, we managed to make a real difference in the lives of over 270 young refugees and people seeking asylum. Plenty of “On Peeps” have volunteered as mentors to our programme participants, and let us know it's an incredible feeling to see the progress and success of the individuals they mentored.

If you are interested in supporting our mission, there are a few ways you can get involved. One option is to volunteer as a mentor to a young refugee on our programmes. We always welcome volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of refugees.
