Why did you decide to join On Purpose as Programme Coordinator?

I joined On Purpose as a Programme Coordinator because I’m passionate about making a positive social impact, and I wanted to be part of an organisation that truly reflects that.

I love being in roles where I can help organise and coordinate processes that allow people to grow and succeed, which is why this position felt like a great fit. Working with people and organisations who are committed to making the world better is something that really motivates me.

Given that I’m still early in my career, this role is a great opportunity to learn more about the charity and social enterprise sectors. It gives me a front-row seat to not only see, but actually contribute to meaningful change, and I’m eager to see how this impact can grow into something even bigger.

What were you up to before joining On Purpose?

Before joining On Purpose, I was busy finishing my master’s degree at the London School of Economics, where I immersed myself in sociology and social development. It was a transformative experience that helped me better understand social issues while honing my research and advocacy skills.

Alongside my studies, I was actively involved in community projects aimed at addressing social inequalities, which was both rewarding and inspiring. I also enjoyed spending my free time exploring London’s vibrant culture, trying out new cafes, and attending local events. Those experiences fueled my passion for creating positive change and shaped my journey to where I am today.

What are you passionate about?

I’m passionate about creating positive social change and addressing inequalities in our communities. I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, and I’m driven to advocate for those who may not have a voice. I’m a big fan of learning, whether it's diving into new research or soaking up different cultures while travelling.

In my downtime, I enjoy connecting with people over coffee and having those deep conversations that linger long after. Cooking is another love of mine; there's something so therapeutic about it that can never really be expressed in words. Plus, I find joy in reading and taking long drives to relax and clear my head.

If you went for a day out in London, where would you go (and what would you do)?

I’d start by grabbing a drink and soaking in the views under Tower Bridge with some good company. There’s something magical about being by the river, watching the boats go by and soaking up the atmosphere.

After that, I’d find a cosy café for lunch, ideally with outdoor seating, where I could relax with a good book and reflect on life over a delicious meal.

Then, I’d wander over to Covent Garden for a nice dinner; the vibe there is always lively, and I love exploring the shops and street performances. That mix of good food, great company, and some quiet time to think is my idea of a perfect day!
